Trails:

Most of the pools are accessible via trails starting from parking areas. The difficulty of the trail depends on the location of each pool, with some paths having steep inclines or sections that require caution.

Access:

It is recommended to wear appropriate hiking shoes, especially for more demanding trails. For easier trails, sports shoes may suffice. Avoid flip-flops or sandals that do not secure your feet, as they increase the risk of slipping.

Time:

The time it takes to reach a pool depends on the location, your physical condition, and weather conditions. Indicatively:

  • Grya Pool: This is one of the most easily accessible pools, with the trail requiring about 15-20 minutes of walking from the beginning of the trail in Therma.
  • Fonia Pools: The first pool of Fonias is accessible in 30-40 minutes of hiking, while to reach the second, which is larger and more impressive, you will need about 1 hour.
  • Kleidosis: One of the most impressive but remote spots, with the trail requiring at least 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking through a more difficult path.

It is important to get detailed information about the trail before you start, as the time required may vary depending on your hiking experience and the condition of the trail.

Best Time to Visit:

The ideal time to visit the pools is around midday when the sun has risen enough to create a pleasant microclimate. The plane trees provide shade on the trails and surrounding areas, while the cool waters become more comfortable for a swim.

Regarding the seasons:

  • From mid-June to mid-September: Midday is ideal for a visit as the temperature allows you to enjoy the waters and nature.
  • July: It is considered the best month for those seeking a balance between serenity and natural beauty, as there is less crowd compared to August.
  • From September 10th onwards until mid-June: The waters are very cold, making swimming difficult, although the area remains magical for hiking and photography.

Keep in mind that the pools are more than just a spot for coolness. They are a natural attraction that is worth visiting at different times and seasons to appreciate their unique beauty.
