In Kamariotissa, you will find the church of Panagia Kamariotissa, which houses the miraculous icon discovered during the Iconoclasm period. The feast of Panagia on the Thursday of Bright Week attracts many pilgrims. The area also features chapels such as Saint Andrew at Akrotiri, Saint Nicholas, and Saint George, known as Kampisios.

The Pulpit of Apostle Paul

At the 7th kilometer of the Kamariotissa-Therma road, the "Pulpit of Apostle Paul" honors his visit to the island in 49 AD. The modest monument with mosaics was inaugurated in 2008 and serves as a place of vigil every June 29.

The Chapel of Saint Paraskevi in Palaeopolis

At the entrance of the archaeological site of Palaeopolis, the chapel of Saint Paraskevi offers peace and a spiritual aura. The feast of Saint Paraskevi on July 26 is one of the island’s largest celebrations. In Palaeopolis, you will also find the Saint Theodores, while in the Karyotes area, there are picturesque chapels of Saint George, Saint John, and Ai-Lias.

In Therma, the chapel of Panagouda and the monastery of Christ are two special sites known for their tranquility and charm. The Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior, also known as "Christ", is located near the village of Therma. Today, the ruins of the late Byzantine church remain, where ancient building materials were used, which are visible in several places. Restoration and preservation work has been carried out, and the monastery is now open to visitors, operating daily from 08:30 to 15:30 by appointment.

Religious Monuments in Prophet Elias and Lakkoma

Heading towards the mountainous village of Prophet Elias, its central church dominates the heart of the village, hosting one of the island’s largest festivals on July 20. Just past the village entrance, a descending dirt road leads to Mandal-Panagia, a small chapel hidden beneath an ancient plane tree, exuding a unique sense of serenity. In the wider area, you can also find the chapel of Apano Panagia, known for its distinctive spiritual aura.
